My child is having a difficult time in class. Can I request a teacher change?

No, we do not change teachers. It is not uncommon for students to struggle in one or more of their classes during their education for various reasons. Anything from personal issues at home, to learning new curriculum and adjusting to a new learning environment, can cause a student to perform below their optimal potential. When you as a parent feel that your student is struggling, it is imperative that you begin a dialogue with your student's teacher. Email your child's teacher with your concerns or call during their conference time. It may even be necessary to arrange a parent-teacher conference so that your concerns can be discussed at length and in more detail. Once the teacher knows your concerns, they now have an opportunity to address them in the classroom. The goal is to keep an open dialogue between the parent, the teacher, and the student to ensure that the student is progressing as expected.

Can I change my schedule?
